As a dance music producer, knowing when your track is truly finished can be a challenge—there’s always room for refinement. But if you ever find yourself unsure of how to elevate your song, asking John Summit to remix it will reveal the answer.
In his latest dancefloor-ready jewel, the house music superstar put an electrifying spin on “Hypnotized,” Anyma‘s high-profile collaboration with Ellie Goulding. Out today, the official remix transforms an atmospheric journey into a full-fledged club weapon, amplifying the original’s ethereal sound with his signature high-energy grooves.
Summit’s remix retains the emotional core of Goulding’s airy, captivating vocals but reimagines Anyma’s dark, minimalistic production into a relentless house framework. His ability to balance tension and release without letting the energy wane reinforces his reputation as one of today’s most in-demand remixers.
The release of his “Hypnotized” remix arrives at a pivotal moment, aligning with Anyma’s final residency performances at the groundbreaking Vegas Sphere. Adding to the anticipation, Summit himself is set to perform just before Anyma’s final show on March 2nd, ensuring that fans will experience this reimagined anthem in a larger-than-life setting.

Subtronics, Hedex and IRAH Drop Genre-Blending Bass Anthem, “System Shock”

One of the most highly anticipated IDs in bass music has finally arrived, “System Shock,” a seismic collaboration between Subtronics, Hedex and IRAH.
Out now via Helix Records, the track was first unleashed on audiences across the country during Subtronics’ 2024 US tour, for which Hedex provided direct support, before becoming a fan-favorite weapon in their DJ sets.
A word to the wise: if you’re listening on your own sound system, make sure your speakers can handle the shock because this track delivers it in full force. A filthy fusion of their distinct styles, “System Shock” is an all-out bass onslaught from start to finish.
The energy kicks in immediately as the unmistakable vocals of IRAH—perhaps best known for his work on Chase & Status’ global drum & bass hit “Baddadan”—cut through a storm of rising brass notes, building tension from the outset. The first drop then plunges us into a frenzy of drum & bass consistent with the trademark style of Hedex, who was named to the EDM.com Class of 2024 last year. However, Subtronics’ influence is undeniable, as his growling sound design weaves through the chaos.
IRAH barely has a moment to catch his breath because as soon as that sequence reaches its conclusion, the tempo shifts dramatically, hurtling us towards the track’s second climax. This time, earth-shaking dubstep takes hold in the form of a destructive drop all too familiar for fans of Subtronics. Wobbly, distorted waves of bass crash against IRAH’s deep, rhythmic cadence, delivering an explosive contrast.

Armin van Buuren and Bon Jovi Ignite Rock-Infused Rave With New Single, “Keep The Faith”

The world first caught a glimpse of Armin van Buuren and Jon Bon Jovi’s “Keep the Faith” nearly a year ago at Ultra Music Festival, when the legendary rocker himself stormed the stage to debut the track alongside van Buuren. Now, almost a year later, the full-throttle collaboration has arrived.
Released via Armada Music, the track marks both an unexpected collision of two music titans and a testament to both of their legacies. Armin van Buuren approached the project with reverence, knowing the weight of what he was about to reimagine.
“Reworking this track was an incredible honor on its own, but having Jon Bon Jovi join me on stage at Ultra was a once-in-a-lifetime moment,” he said in a press release shared with EDM.com. “Rock music has always inspired me, and I’ve been a Bon Jovi fan for ages, so this was truly special.”
The original “Keep the Faith,” a defiant rallying cry released in 1992, was built on towering guitar riffs and Bon Jovi’s signature blue-collar grit. But it transforms in van Buuren’s hands, glowing with an incandescent trance undercurrent.
The trance icon himself is no stranger to dance music reinventing some of rock’s most storied classics—his 2019 remix of Van Halen’s “Jump” previously proved that guitar-driven classics could thrive under the weight of festival-grade synths, and his latest is no exception.

Jake Shore and Rich DietZ Bridge House Music Generations in Rework of 90's Classic, “Everybody”

Back in 1990, when neon windbreakers were must-have fashion items, Black Box unleashed “Everybody Everybody” on unsuspecting dancefloors. Over three decades later, Jake Shore and Rich DietZ are proving that good house music—like Nintendo consoles and Home Alone—only improves with age.
Now back for a victory lap, the house track that once competed with MC Hammer and Vanilla Ice for radio play has found new life in the skilled hands of Shore and DietZ, two of the genre’s most promising acts. “Everybody” is out now via Tchami’s influential house music label Confession, the perfect platform for a track that bridges the gap between Clinton-era rave culture and today’s festival circuit.
They’ve done what countless producers have attempted but few have achieved: resurrecting a dance classic without sacrificing its soul. The iconic organ riff and rousing vocals that once blasted from boomboxes and car stereos have been meticulously reengineered and spliced through a pumping four-on-the-floor beat.
All said and done, the track is a testament to house music’s cyclical nature and enduring appeal. Much like how Doc Martens never truly went out of style, “Everybody” proves that some classics deserve their second act.

Techno Is a Fatal Attraction in Layton Giordani and Bart Skils' New Track, “Deadly Valentine”

Love and destruction become indistinguishable in “Deadly Valentine,” a new collaboration from Layton Giordani and Bart Skils.
A love letter to techno dipped in venom, the track is out now via Adam Beyer’s Drumcode. It’s the latest anthem from Giordani, who was recently named to the EDM.com Class of 2025.
Like poison disguised as perfume, “Deadly Valentine” intoxicates before it kills. With propulsive yet haunting production, the track feels both deadly efficient and passionately crafted, a valentine to techno’s dark, pulsing heart.
What elevates “Deadly Valentine” is its brilliant tension-and-release structure. Floating above the mix like whispered threats, the track’s haunting vocals imbue an eerie sense of anticipation that borders on discomfort before delivering its satisfying drop.
Meanwhile, the production from Giordani and Skils is relentless, namely its chugging bassline, which drives the arrangement forward forward with unstoppable momentum. But they masterfully show restraint, knowing exactly when to add layers and when to strip elements away.

The recursive loop of memory finds its perfect soundtrack in RIOT‘s new single, “Everynight.”
Out now via SLANDER and NGHTMRE’s Gud Vibrations imprint, the drum & bass track delivers exactly what longtime fans have come to expect from the duo: a technically impressive arrangement that balances emotional weight with dancefloor functionality. While it won’t reinvent the genre, “Everynight” showcases RIOT’s continued evolution through a song designed for both headphone introspection and peak-hour club deployment.
The duo’s production stands out immediately as their crisp percussion cuts through a warm bass foundation, creating that signature tension between mechanical precision and organic warmth. RIOT demonstrate their veteran status with a masterful build that rewards patient listeners with a euphoric drop.
Lyrically, “Everynight” explores aching memories and longing: “I’ve been thinking about you all the time / Memories of you I can’t rewind.” That simplicity works in its favor, with the repeated refrain “Every night, every day” functioning as both hook and emotional anchor.

Step Into the Shadows With Schuz's Eerie and Explosive Bass Track, “What We Do”

Some tracks shake the floor, but some, like Schuz’s “What We Do,” rip it out from under you.
The new single is the latest banger from the Pacific Northwest-based DJ and producer, whose aim, he says, is to push the boundaries of modern bass music. Continuing to carve out his space in the scene, his new single is proof that filth and finesse aren’t mutually exclusive.
“What We Do” opens with eerie, fluttering arpeggios that set an ominous tone. Schuz then uncorks a heavy and unrelenting drop, where textured bass slithers through the mix with an almost reptilian quality and crisp snares thwack like well-placed gut punches. Every element feels deliberate, from the snarling low end to the nimble percussion that keeps the momentum razor-sharp.
For fans of bass music that thrives on grit and groove, the track doesn’t just rely on brute force, balancing tension and release with surgical precision. Schuz avoids the pitfalls of overstuffed sound design, letting each element breathe without sacrificing impact.

Presented by BODYARMOR FLASH I.V., the Breakaway Music Festival offshoot is cementing its status as a must-attend event during the Magic City’s most memorable week for electronic music enthusiasts.

Iconic London nightlife venue Ministry of Sound is set to debut a series of “sober raves” catering to those who want to maintain their sobriety while enjoying the city’s electronic music culture.
Drawing inspiration from its previous partnerships with Ecstatic Disco and Dry Disco, these events were designed to give Ministry of Sound its own signature high-energy club event while ushering in a substance-free safe haven.
“At Ministry of Sound, our egalitarian roots have always led to positive change,” said Matt Long, Club Director at Ministry of Sound. “For the growing number of us that are ‘sober curious’ we know what our patrons want: more inclusive nightlife experiences. Our daytime raves and ‘No and Low’ alcohol range cater for a growing community, like us, who believe that clubbing should be about connection, energy and making memories whether you’re sipping a zero-proof mocktail or a low-alcohol beer.”
As the concept of mindful socialization becomes increasingly popular, many have sought out events that prioritize well-being over intoxication. Ministry of Sound is meeting the moment by serving low-alcohol, non-alcoholic and other wellness-themed beverages curated by the venue’s bar manager, Laura Andrijauskaite. These drinks ensure that attendees can experience the social and sensory elements of being at a club without compromising their sobriety.
“I’ve put together a great lineup of options for sober ravers, we wanted an offering that tastes amazing like CBD-infused Trip, a delicious alternative to wine drinks from Real.co, Low-alcohol functional spirits from Smiling Wolf—perfect in cocktails or with mixers—and 0% beer options from Lucky Saint,” Andrijauskaite explained.
As more individuals explore sobriety for various reasons, like health and personal preference, Ministry of Sound’s adoption of the “sober curious” movement is indicative of its growing mainstream appeal. According to Alcohol Change UK, the amount of alcohol consumed in the region and the proportion of people drinking have fallen since 2005. The trend is especially strong amongst younger people, the nonprofit claims, citing data from the Office for National Statistics.
The daytime series will debut on May 11th, when DRIIA takes the stage. Additional lineups have yet to be revealed for future events, which will take place quarterly until November and include nighttime programming. You can find out more via Ministry of Sound’s website.
