A Guide to Miami Music Week 2025: Pool Parties, Clubs, Raves, Showcases and More

For those who have not yet experienced Miami Music Week, it’s where your sleep schedule goes to die—happily.

Just ask any one of the disheveled rave zombies stumbling through the Miami International Airport on Monday morning. These are the survivors, the ones who danced until their bodies pleaded for mercy, then danced some more.

The annual celebration of electronic dance music culture is arguably the nation’s best time for DJs and fans of the genre, who willingly devolve into a blissed-out, sleep-deprived haze in Miami. The city’s hotels, bars, restaurants and streets transform into one giant, endless dance party, and the only souvenir you’re left with is a questionable friendship with a flamingo pool floatie.

And convictions be damned, it’s back. Ahead of Miami Music Week 2025, EDM.com has published its annual guide with an exhaustive list of club nights, pool parties, raves, record label showcases and more so you can keep a pulse on the pandemonium.

A bold new player has entered the music publishing game after Purple Fly Records launched a new venture, aiming to leverage the independent label’s expansive catalog to reshape opportunities for electronic music creators.

The label’s new publishing house, EDM Publishing, enters the market with an impressive catalog of thousands of tracks, spanning from commercial dance-pop to underground techno and trance.

It already features an impressive lineup of established producers, including Klaas, Sickick, Chris Burke and Damon Sharpe as well as top singer-songwriters like Aloe Blacc, Sophie Simmons, Cammie Robinson and Christina Novelli. Collectively, the works represented by the company have generated over one billion streams.

EDM Publishing aims to create expanded opportunities for electronic music artists through sync, licensing and strategic partnership initiatives. In a significant early win, the company’s proprietors have secured a music licensing agreement with MTV, positioning it for rapid growth and increased visibility across major media channels.

Purple Fly Records first gained attention in the EDM space for utilizing cryptocurrency and NFTs to support artists and releases, launching in 2021 with a blockchain-based approach that allowed musicians to monetize their work in innovative ways. The label has since released music by a slew of notable artists in the scene, like Laidback Luke, Gammer, DJ Diesel (Shaquille O’Neal) and the late Fatman Scoop.

With the established infrastructure of Purple Fly behind it, EDM Publishing appears well-positioned to become a significant player in the electronic music publishing sector. According to a press release, the company is seeking out artists and brands in the electronic music community, signaling an aggressive growth strategy in the months ahead.

You can find out more about EDM Publishing on its official website.

If Doechii‘s “NISSAN ALTIMA” was built for smooth cruising, Whethan‘s new remix rips off the muffler and takes a detour straight into the underground.

The remix opens with a deceptive simplicity before plunging us into a dubstep drop with thick, viscous bass you can almost feel sticking to your skin. The hip-hop swagger of the Grammy-winning rapper’s delivery remains intact, but Whethan drags it into festival territory through his snarling sound design.

What elevates the track, however, is Whethan’s deft integration of four-on-the-floor house rhythms without losing an ounce of aggression. Keeping the arrangement unpredictable, these moments provide crucial breathing room, creating a rhythmic dialogue between dubstep’s jagged edges and house music’s steady pulse.

In other Whethan remixing news, his breakthrough edit of Mssingno’s “XE3” recently hit streaming platforms a decade after its release on SoundCloud, bringing one of the platform’s early viral electronic hits to a new generation of listeners. The remix helped establish the producer as a rising force in dance music when he was just 15.

You can listen to Whethan’s remix of “NISSAN ALTIMA” below and download the track for free here.

Some songs are built for the dancefloor, others for the heart—LMNT 115’s “Holding Onto Us” manages to do both.

Inspired by anime and manga, the duo may be a mystery, but their music is anything but elusive. The enigmatic band consists of songwriter Z and producer Fab, who debuted back in November with their first release, “Close to You.”

With their new single, they deliver a sleek dance track that strikes a balance between deep, club-ready grooves and anthemic pop sensibilities. Featuring the unmistakable voice of Brando—whose breakout moment came with Loud Luxury’s “Body”—the track taps into the ageless pull of human connection.

“Holding Onto Us” leans into groove rather than bombast, making the track equally suited for late-night drives as it is for peak-time festival sets. It sticks with you, much like the kind of connection its title describes.

From the opening moments, an airy piano riff guides us into LMNT 115’s futuristic world, setting the stage for Brando’s powerful topline. His evocative lyricism add layers of depth to the track’s theme of enduring love despite time and adversity. Beneath it, shimmering synth layers inject momentum, subtly evolving with each beat to keep the energy dynamic without overpowering the song’s melodic core.

The new single is out now via LMNT 115’s own label, Quasar Music. You can listen to “Holding Onto Us” below and find it on streaming platforms here.

On February 22nd, a sold-out crowd at the Hollywood Palladium witnessed firsthand the biggest headline show of Ray Volpe‘s career.

From the awe-inspiring audiovisual production to the emotional send-off that heralded a new era with the announcement of his debut album, the EDM.com Class of 2022 star delivered a night that took the bass music community by storm.

EDM.com was onsite for Volpe’s landmark performance in LA. Here are five things you missed that made the final show of his expansive “VOLPEVERSE” tour unforgettable.

Openers and special guest

Before the Volpe took stage, an electrifying series of openers set the tone for an unforgettable night. The progression began with echod, followed by SENZA and then Control Freak, each of whom built upon the last to raise the intensity in the room.

The apex of this opening segment was delivered by special guest Dion Timmer, whose set perfectly primed the crowd for the experience that was about to unfold.

A story set in an alternate dimension

The audiovisual show kicked off at an unexpected spot: a seat in front of a computer, complete with a homemade teleportation wristband. In that very moment, we were teleported directly into the vivid realm of the “VOLPEVERSE”—a launch that felt reminiscent of an introduction video at a Disneyland attraction.

You woke up and were greeted by Holly, the charismatic Holotron who welcomes new “Trons” into this diverse universe. The narrative set up a futuristic quest: your teleportation wristband’s energy was depleted, and the only way to recharge it was to venture through different realms of the “VOLPEVERSE.”

After this captivating introduction, Volpe stepped out and the audience was instantly transported into a cascade of vibrant worlds—from a lollipop-candy dreamscape and a forest-inspired haven to classic Mario visuals—all brought to life with his signature Volpetron animations. The aforementioned energy meters monitored momentum throughout the night and during standout tracks to help us reach the ultimate goal of getting home.

Eye-popping lasers and pyro

As expected, Volpe’s laser display was so integral to the spectacle that it merits a dedicated highlight in this article. His global dubstep hit “Laserbeam” launched the night’s laser extravaganza early on, setting the tone for his immersive, high-energy performance. As soon as those pulsating beams cut through the darkness, we knew we were in for an unparalleled audiovisual journey.

The dazzling laser show was perfectly synchronized with Volpe’s Volpetron visuals while explosive bursts of pyrotechnics punctuated every beat. This dynamic duo of light and fire wasn’t just an opening act—it was the heartbeat of the show.

Setlist of fan-favorites and surprises

Volpe’s setlist was a masterclass, seamlessly blending high-energy bangers with unexpected twists. Crowd-pleasers like “Song Request,” “Laserbeam,” “Happy Song” and “See You Drop” had the audience moving nonstop. But it was the clever interludes—unexpected snippets of pop culture—that kept the night unpredictable and fun.

From K-pop anthems like LE SSERAFIM’s “Crazy” and New Jeans’ “ETA” to viral hits like Chappell Roan’s “Good Luck, Babe!” and “APT” by ROSÉ and Bruno Mars, each surprise kept energy levels high. The set also paid homage to EDM classics like Benny Benassi’s “Satisfaction” as well as dancefloor staples like “Push” by Hamdi, Skrillex and TAICHU.

Even internet culture had its moment, with playful nods to viral memes like the “Brother Eww” audio, adding an extra layer of nostalgia. Adding to the thrill, Volpe’s unreleased IDs took the night to another level. Tracks like “Get Smacked” (with Vastive) and “Rewind” (with Sullivan King) ensured no moment felt predictable.

A farewell and debut album announcement

The night’s emotional rollercoaster began when Volpe took a moment to speak directly to his fans. In a heartfelt closing speech coupled by credits for the tour, he expressed his gratitude for their unwavering support throughout and delivered the announcement of his debut album.

“My brand-new album, FOREVER, VOLPETRON, is coming later this year,” announced Volpe following the final visual showcase of the night. “15 years in the making, this album is a love letter to you—my fans, my family, my VOLPEVERSE. I love you all so much and I cannot wait for you to hear it.”

In a dramatic twist, Volpe then walked offstage as if the show had ended—only to return moments later and reignite the energy with more music, reinforcing his promise that the “VOLPEVERSE” is far from over. This final act encapsulated both the end of an era and the exciting promise of a new one on the way.

Volpe’s Hollywood Palladium headline wasn’t merely the conclusion of a world tour, but also a showcase of the hard work and creativity that has defined his career. As the echoes of that night continue to resonate, one thing is clear: the “VOLPEVERSE” is only just beginning.

After finding a home in Los Angeles, Cloonee is ready to deliver what he’s calling the biggest shows of his career in honor of the city that helped him grow.

The house music star in June is joining forces with Insomniac’s Factory 93 brand to showcase the sounds of his label, Hellbent Records, at City Market in downtown Los Angeles. Fans of the British DJ will also be treated to the sounds of a handful of special guests, who have not been announced at the time of this writing.

Cloonee also got in front of the camera and opened up about the impact of his new home, explaining that LA’s melting pot of cultures has influenced his artistic endeavors. He recently used his platform to raise money for those affected by the devastating LA wildfires, which scorched over 57,000 acres and killed at least 29 people.

“The people of LA have welcomed me with nothing but open arms,” Cloonee said. “I’m very aware that I’m a guest in their many cultures, but they’ve never made me feel like that, and for that, I feel very lucky. Being in the melting pot of LA has unlocked parts of my artistic nature that I didn’t know I had.”

“The last show here was in December 2023. We did back-to-back nights; both sold out, it was crazy, and it’s something I didn’t think I could do. But now we’re coming back to do it even bigger. This show will be the biggest of my career, in the city that I love, for the people who have helped me get here.”

After Cloonee announced a show scheduled for Saturday, June 14th, it sold out in just 15 minutes, his team tells EDM.com. They’ve now added a second concert to take place a day prior. Tickets are on sale now.

Grabbitz has released a new album, Big Epic Nothing, unearthing raw emotion across 11 tracks and painting an intimate portrait of an artist who has never been afraid to embrace vulnerability.

Grabbitz has never been one to conform. The genre-blending singer-songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist has long occupied a lane of his own, bridging electronic music with rock and consistently pushing boundaries in the process. With Big Epic Nothing, his fifth studio album and first full-length release under his own Blue Butterfly Records imprint, he reinforces his standing as one of today’s most compelling voices in dance music.

A deeply personal project, the album arrives as Grabbitz supports fellow rocktronic producer Sullivan King on his “Chaos Will Bring Peace” tour, a fitting backdrop for a record that revels in explosive energy and cathartic storytelling.

“This album is a reflection of everything I’ve been through—musically and personally,” Grabbitz said in a press release. “It’s my story of finding beauty in chaos and creating meaning from emptiness.”

Grabbitz.

Zach Frank

From the very first moments of Big Epic Nothing, we are thrust into its tempestuous storm of emotion and sound. Its opener, “Hero Pt. II,” sets the stage with haunting lyricism before erupting into a thunderous drop. While its melancholic beginnings may suggest despair, the song ultimately builds into a triumphant anthem, underscoring the resilience at the heart of the album. “This is not a story where the hero dies at the end,” Grabbitz declares, establishing a defiant tone.

While the album largely stands as a solo endeavor, its sole collaboration, “Love You ‘Til I’m Dead,” commands attention. Released fittingly as a single on Valentine’s Day, the track merges Rezz‘s signature eerie basslines with Grabbitz’s cinematic vocal delivery, crafting a dark yet oddly romantic experience.

As Big Epic Nothing unfolds, its versatility becomes even more apparent. “And I Run And I Run” shifts into full-throttle rock territory, featuring anthemic guitar riffs and a vocal performance that oscillates between soaring melodies and a rap-like cadence. Elsewhere, “Gasping For Air” straddles the line between spellbinding electronica and introspective alt-rock, with distorted synths  masterfully melting into the hypnotic pull of the track’s aching vocals.

More than just another chapter in Grabbitz’s evolution, Big Epic Nothing is a testament to his artistic fearlessness. By refusing to be confined by genre, he continues to carve out his own path, bound neither by the constraints of expectations nor talent.
